We specify internal and external insulation systems, that utilise revolutionary components and materials, creating highly efficient thermal insulation combining environmental compatibility.
Our business supplies floor, wall and ceiling insulation designed to offer optimum performance combined with the highest environmental credentials.
Walls
Neopor insulation is one of our key products for walls. Using 50% less raw materials during the manufacturing process Neopor is at least 25% more thermally efficient when compared to normal EPS. The difference with this lies in the silver-grey color, which can actually be seen with the naked eye. The graphite reflects heat radiation and considerably improves the insulation capacity which translates into an advantage that is both simple and crucial with far fewer resources needed in order to achieve the same insulating effect.
Floors
For floor insulation, we specify Styrodur from BASF or Quintherm, dependent on the wider needs of each individual scheme. Styrodur is an environmentally friendly, extruded polystyrene rigid foam, free of CFC, HCFC and HFC. Due to its high compressive strength, low moisture absorption, long working life and its resistance to decay, Styrodur has become synonymous with XPS in Europe. Effective thermal insulation with Styrodur reduces energy consumption with the result that the investment in thermal insulation can be recouped within a short period of time.
Ceilngs
For ceiling and roof insulation, we use Knaufs’ Mineral wool insulation or a blown bonded bead based on Neopor, from Polypearl. We supply insulation for both cold and warm roof systems, for new build or refurbishment contracts. If you’re unsure what can be used where, please contact our technical department.
Sub Foundation
When trying to achieve extremely thermally efficient buildings any small thermal bridge becomes a problem. For example the thermal bridge between a wall and floor which both have u-values of less than 0.15W/m2K will have a high thermal bridging value, which creates problems for the designer and builder. To overcome this TJT can design and supply a sub foundation insulation which will connect to the wall insulation to provide a complete thermal envelope with zero thermal bridging.
